Bihar has a deficit of 1,200MW power a day, with a serious power crisis. It produces 120MW a day. It needs 2,500MW a day but gets less than 900MW from central pool. Hand fan is the only cooling there in summer. People live in the lantern age there. India will generate 1,000MW of solar power by 2013. Bihar's share will be minimal. Individual efforts in Solar Energy production and distribution is the only solution for power starved Bihar.
